Rebecca “Beck” Wiasak (Canberra, AUS) joins Fearless Femme Racing fresh from winning gold in the Track Team Pursuit at the Cali, Colombia UCI Track World Cup and gold in the Track Individual Pursuit at the Australian National Championships. A pillar of World Class, Beck’s amazing ongoing career is highlighted by earning consecutive gold medals in the Individual Pursuit at the 2015 UCI Track World Championships in Paris, then in 2016 in London! With her top-end speed, Beck brings an experience level to a US race scene that is ripe for her explosive speed and fearless intensity. Fearless Femme is privileged and honored to have Beck Wiasak flying the Fearless flag!
Lucy Bechtel (Canberra, AUS), coming off a breakthrough season on the NRS Australian calendar, is as fearless as ever! Lucy joined Fearless Femme Racing in 2016 with a background in hilly stages and mountain biking. During her first year racing for Fearless Femme, Lucy quickly became a race-changer with her powerful breakaway strength and uphill power. Leading into her 2016 Australian race season, Lucy took her Fearless experience and emerged as one of the grittiest and explosive racers in the peleton. Fearless Femme is excited to welcome Lucy Bechtel back to the criterium battle ground!
Flora Yan (Plano, TX, USA) joins Fearless Femme with a refreshing balance of breakaway power and sprint pop! Flora came off of a packed 2016 calendar that tested her road, time-trial and criterium skills from Joe Martin Stage race to Tulsa Tough! Perhaps her crowning achievements were earning the win in the DII Collegiate Individual Time trials, GC Overall at the Hotter N’ Hell and a Top 5 at the hilly Port Washington Stage of ToAD. Flora also excels off the tarmac as a first year medical student at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, specializing in oncology or neurology, at the ripe age of 20!
Kyrstin Bluhm (Nashville, TN, USA) is another Fearless addition to the team with an impressive background cycling skillset in BMX, mountain and road, which earned her a cycling scholarship at Lindenwood University! Kyrstin raced the collegiate calendar, but then dove directly into many of the biggest crits in North America, concluding with an impressive Top 10 GC at the Gateway Cup in front of her college hometown crowd in St. Louis! Like all Fearless Femme, Kyrstin is a balanced athlete who is completing her Bachelor of Science in chemistry, then enlisting in the military forces.
Paige Shumskas (Pipersville, PA, USA) returns for her 2nd straight year after her inaugural Scholarship Development season. In her first season at 17 years old, Paige competed at many of the top criteriums in the country against World Class competition. Her first year experience has enabled Paige to be a great all-around asset and looks to sky-rocket to the next level, while planning her freshman year of college where she plans on studying chemical engineering.
